Sivananda launches city’s first free rehab care facility

With rising burden of Chronic diseases. 3 out 4 patients with stroke need critical care, almost half of them need ventilator support & another quarter need tracheostomy care. Rehabilitation care is a common denominator for all post discharge which has become prohibitively expensive.

The newly launched 20 bedded Sivananda Physio Rehab center will make Rehab care equitable & accessible for not only post stroke cases but a bunch of patients with trauma and other chronic disabilities free of charge.

The new Rehab facility at Kukatpally will have high end Physio equipment, donated by Mr. Pradip Chaudary & will have a seperate male and female wards with central oxygen line, paramonitors and a team of doctors, nurses, physios.

The facility was inaugurated today in the memory of Late Pramila Jagan Mohan Reddy by the trustees & family of SRH, namely Mr. Vikram Dev Rao, Mr. Ranti Dev Rao, Mrs. Meera Dev Rao, Dr. Jairam Pingle, Dr. Urmila Pingle & Mr. Gautham Pingle on the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Rani Kumudini Devi the founder and renowned philanthropist & social worker who set up Sivananda Leprosy center.
